Well friends, it's finally here! The final week of the One Room Challenge. For the past 6ish weeks I've been making over my Home Office from start to finish. A few extra weeks were added to give designers more time to get things with the pandemic going on.
Let me start by pointing out that I still have some missing pieces of furniture and art I'm waiting on being delivered. It's unfortunate it's not here in time for the end of the ORC, but the important thing is the ORC helped me get this room together. Items I'm waiting on are:
- Light fixture
- Custom art being framed
- Hang pin board after sofa arrives
- Hang small mirror after art comes from framer
The desk in here is temporary until I find one I love. I thought I found the one from McGee & Co, but after seeing it in person recently, I was disappointed. It isn't as nice in person and is more pink than gray, so I canceled my order. So the desk hunt still continues. I'm thinking of going with a white desk. But my temporary one is good for now.
You can see the progression over the past 6 weeks above. One of the biggest and best changes came in pulling out the carpet in Week 1 and replacing it with hardwood floors. It really helped transform the room from feeling like an extra bedroom to now feeling like a professional office.
Without trying, green became the official color of this office. And will be so even more after my sofa arrives. Once everything comes in, I will be sure to do another final office reveal. Overall I am really happy with how it is all coming together and look forward to adding the final finishing touches.
Thanks for following along on my journey with the One Room Challenge. I really enjoyed it and look forward to doing it again! Already wondering which room I want to do next?!
