It's Week 5 of the One Room Challenge, where myself and other Interior Designers are making over a room completely from start to finish in just 6 weeks. For the challenge I am making over my Home Office.
This past week I have been trying to fill the holes I have left in the room. The main things being a floor length, oversized mirror and something for me to lay on when my low back hurts from sitting. With low back problems, I tend to work on my stomach most the time. I would like something I can lay on in my office that isn't the floor!
For the mirror, I fell in love with this one from McGee & Co:
Unfortunately it's backordered til late December. I did however find this great dupe on Wayfair for only $362, instead of the $900 price tag from McGee & Co. It isn't exact, but it's pretty dang close. And for the price it's a no brainer. So I'm giving it a try. You can shop the Wayfair dupe here.
I also think I found a great option for me to lay on when I have back pain. It's different and outside the box, so I want to save it for the final reveal later this month. I love it cause it really pushes me outside my box as a designer.
I still am waiting for the new curtains and curtain rod to come in from Pottery Barn. I love them though! I got the same ones for our guest room and master bedroom and they are so pretty in person. Shop it all below:
I can't wait to show you all the final reveal around November 29th. Stay tuned. Here is hoping my desk magically comes in early! Either way, I am really happy with how the space is starting coming together. I think it's really going to make a statement in the end.
