3 Easy Ways to Refresh Your Home

With every change in season comes the itch for me to want to rearrange my house to give it some new life. It's amazing how just taking what you already own and moving it around can breathe new life into your home. Rearranging what you own makes your space feel totally new, without buying anything.

My Grandmother, Joy Mary, is a PRO at rearranging. She is also an interior designer and the one I credit all I know about design from. Every time she would come in town to visit us as kids, our house got a new makeover and I always loved watching her work her magic. The key is you just have to have fun with your space! Think outside the box and if you don't like it, you can always put it back.

Here are 3 easy ways you can refresh your home today:

1. New throw pillows

I am constantly switching out pillows around our house. It is such an easy way to create a new look. Move pillows from your bedroom to the living room, or change colors of pillows seasonally. Just have fun with it!

2. Swap out and print new photos

I just recently did this on a side table in our living room and LOVE it! It made the space feel totally new again by simply updating the photos. In a day where everything is digital, it is still nice to print out actual photos and frame them. I left some, but updated others and it gave it new life. This one is super simple. I recommend ordering prints from Walgreens online. It's super easy and the quality is great (better than Costco printing in my opinion).

I also finally framed some larger professional photos from our Engagement shoot last fall and hung them on the walls. They look so good! I smile every time I pass by them. Try printing in black and white too for a cleaner and more elegant look.

3. Rearrange living room furniture

This is always fun to do and something I do often. Who says your furniture has to stay one way forever? Mix it up. Bring a chair from another room in, take a chair out. Even redecorate your coffee table to give it a whole new look and feel. Again, don't take it to seriously, you can always put it back if you don't like it. But moving furniture around in any room is a great way to bring fresh new energy into your home!

Bonus: Buy some fresh flowers for your home and a bowl of lemons or green apples as decoration.

This is one of my favorite things to do and always adds life to any room in the house!

I hope these 3 simple tips will help you refresh your home this season. Have fun with it and send me pictures of what you do! I would love to see your before and afters.
